Support the Arts in St. Thomas

St. Thomas has a wonderful little theatre. I would call it a secret, but it isn't a secret at all. It is a wonderful gathering spot to not only support the arts and great efforts of the performers, but also a social gathering. I am of course referring to Pistarckle Theatre.

Cara and I very much enjoy going to these shows. We prefer to go early and grab some beers and food at Jack's Wings. Make sure you say hello to the bartender, Trish. After gorging ourselves we are ready to see the show.

Last night's event was "Little Shop of Horrors". Very well done. It is no longer surprising to see the vast array of talent we have on this small island. Other shows have been equally rewarding. Since this was opening night, you have plenty of options to go see it yourself. If you are not on island, it just takes booking an airline ticket and calling me for a rental villa or condo.

I was most impressed with Gail de Haas as Audrey. Of course that is probably because I know Gail and very much enjoy helping to coach her daughter Julianna. But she really did a phenomenal job. That is not meant to take away from the other performers, as they were also great. The "three girls" had incredible voices and a lot of energy. Hell, everyone was great.

Pistarckle would love to have you attend their shows, and they really need financial support to keep things going. So if you can't make a donation, at least go spend your money for a great cause. You will not be disappointed, and you will be supporting the arts on St. Thomas.
