The St. Thomas Town View

Cara and I had the pleasure of being invited to our friend's condo at Pinnacle. If you don't know this complex, it is an upscale gated community high on Mafolie hill, with exceptional town views. Absolutely phenomenal location and very nice units.

Since we live with the down island view from our house, we have always preferred such and love waking up to the scenery. But that doesn't mean we don't like the town view, and after a night with our friends, I quickly re-learned what a great thing it is.

The main difference I notice is that I absolutely love the down island view during the daytime, but once it goes dark, we only have the distant lights of Jost Van Dyke, Tortola, and St. John (not shabby). But the town view gives you ACTION. We were fortunate enough to be there on a day with six cruise ships and got to watch them all leave port. But the other thing that was really cool was seeing the moving lights of cars (along with the boats), and also watching all the other lights pop on as it got darker. It provided a really nice backdrop as we sat on the patio drinking margaritas.

So when looking for an island home, the primary view is certainly a huge part of the decision. And if you learn that you like the town view, then you will absolutely want to take a look at this particular unit in Pinnacle. We intend to have it listed shortly, so stand by to see photos. In the meantime, enjoy the attached photo of the night view.
