Southside Living Revisited

Southside Living Revisited

Kirk and I often have opposing views on various issues. I think there are some wonderful things about living on the south side of the island, or for having a south facing view.

If you face south or west you get to see the sunset. Having a drink at the end of a long day and watching the sunset either from your pool or porch is my idea of heaven! Also, you get to watch the large cruise ships coming into the dock in the morning, and leaving at night. At night they are all lit up with bright lights and make you feel like it’s Christmas, my favorite holiday.

Another advantage to the south side of the island is that it’s close to town, the shopping areas, the airport, and to several private schools. There are two in town, and one on the south shore road. If you happen to work in any of these areas, your drive will be considerably shortened if you live on the south side.

So the bottom line is, what kind of quality of life do you want? Do you want a shorter commute, shorter drive to the kids school, do you want to watch the sunsets? If so, the south side of the island could be the perfect place for you!
