AT&T Cell Service

Good Old AT&T. What else can I say. They have survived as long as me in this world, at least as long as my memory goes back. But what I can't figure out is, after all of this time, why their cell service is so poor so often.

I fully understand the principals regarding cell service in mountainous regions, how various bandwidths have better penetration based on line of sight and distance. I have worked with top cellular consultants in the past, including those that build and maintain cell towers. So AT&T receives my understanding for these issues.

However, my cell phone frequently cuts out and stops receiving calls and texts. By frequently, I mean as often as once or twice a week. So it will instead go directly to voice mail, not show I received a call, and not show I received a message. This typically happens when I travel on the North Side of the island where I may pick up Cellular One from the BVI. From what I figure, the phone somehow gets "stuck" with one cell tower and doesn't properly release. Any experts out there that can help me on this issue?

The undesirable result is a telephone call to AT&T displaying my frustration. About half an hour later, sometimes longer, the problem is typically fixed. Very frustrating and time consuming with little I can do. Does this happen to anyone else (besides Cara, because I know it happens to her also) ???? Would love to hear from you, especially if you solved the problem.
