Football is back, and the bars are busy

Football is back, and the bars are busy. I can't imagine how many more chicken wings are sold at this time of the year, but it must be a substantial difference. And the sports bars are loving it as much as the people that watch football.

So where to go to watch football? There are countless options on St. Thomas. My favorite would probably be Caribbean Saloon in Red Hook. They have great bar food and tons of TV's, as well as two huge screens. What I like even more is that the service is phenomenal. Really good people working there, and working hard.

Another popular spot is Hooters. Though I haven't been there yet this season, I will be going this Sunday. Won 50 WINGS from 104.3 THE BUZZ (best local radio station)and need to take advantage of this prize. So Hooters, get ready, as the invasion happens this Sunday.

Where else? Well, there really are a ton of options But my all time favorite is my house. I really like sitting around at home for a change and watching the games. It took only half way thru the first weekend before I decided I need to build a nice TV area out by the pool. I have the perfect spot. Just need to build a box to protect the TV from the elements. Then I can lounge in the pool while watching the games. I don't think it could get much better than that.

But for all you travelers who are worried about being down here for vacation, and not having somewhere to go- never fear. The Virgin Islands is more than capable of hosting some great football, food, and beer.
