WINE TO THE THIRD POWER
TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HUMANE SOCIETY OF ST. THOMAS
November 1, St. Thomas – Bellows International, West Indies Corporation and Prestige Wine Group are presenting the second annual “Wine to the Third Power” on Monday, November 16, as a fund raising event for the Humane Society of St. Thomas.
The “Celebration of Fine Wines” will feature 45 wineries offering over 165 wines for unlimited tasting, an extravagant dinner buffet, silent auction of “Wine, Dine and Shine” items, and live auction of four exclusive visits to wineries.
The fundraiser will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the ballroom of Marriott’s Frenchman’s Reef Beach Resort. Tickets are $100 each. An added feature of the event will be the opportunity to purchase any of the wines at wholesale prices. Ten per cent of the wine sales will be donated to the Humane Society of St. Thomas, along with all proceeds from the auctions and half of the ticket sales. Tickets for “Wine to the Third Power” are available from Bellows International, the Humane Society of St. Thomas, the St. Thomas-St. John Chamber of Commerce, How ‘Bout Your Pet, Home Again, and Humane Society board members.
The silent auction will feature exclusive bottles and cases of wine, stemware from Riedel, gift certificates for fine dining on St. Thomas, and jewelry donated by the island’s superior shops. The live auction will offer exclusive tours and lodging at some of the world’s most exclusive wineries in the United States and South America.
According to Joe Aubain, president of the Humane Society’s board of directors, “We are so grateful to Bellows International, West Indies Corporation and Prestige Wine Group for their efforts on behalf of the Humane Society. This gala of wines is a wonderful event, as anyone who attended last year will tell you, and will assist the Humane Society with the completion of its new Animal Care Campus and on-going operational expenses.”
