The Return to Normalcy

Normalcy: being within certain limits that define the range of normal functioning

So what is normal functioning? Well, number one here in the islands for me is being warm. It certainly doesn't include seeing snowfall, wearing multiple layers of clothes, a knit hat, gloves, and closed shoes. It also includes sunshine, which is the seed of life along with water.

After five days in Seattle, it is very nice to return to normalcy. People up there may think 35 degrees is refreshing, but I highly disagree. Give me a refreshing 80 degrees anyday. That is called normalcy to me.

You know what else I call normalcy? How about incredible views of the water and surrounding islands. High up on the hills where you can see all around. Weather rolling in. Waves in the ocean. Boats motoring and sailing between the islands. Much more normal than just being able to see the neighbors across the street.

I guess I just want to say that it is really nice to be back in the Virgin Islands. I loved my Stateside visit, but this is home. This is normalcy.
