Did I Forget my Shoes??

As a local realtor, I get all sorts of funny stories. Few of them are turned into blogs, but since I am in a laughing mood today, I just can't resist writing this one.

We have a home for sale in St. Joseph and Rosendahl. It is a very nice and large family home. You can view it here:

Cara had two showings at the home this morning, with just a short break between the two. The sellers / owners of the home have a custom that they do not allow shoes in the home, therefore, we ask that people remove their shoes and leave them outside or just inside the door. This was done today as usual. Well, when Cara went outside again after both showings were done, after closing up the home, she saw that there was a pair of womens shoes left outside the door. She was certain they were not there at the beginning of the day, and quite certain they were not left from the first showing either.

Though she thought she knew what had happened, she just in case wanted to know whether they could have been the owners shoes that were taken outside. So she went to the ladies closet, where she confirmed the shoe size was not even close to those that were left behind. So she texted the agent that had just brought customers to the home to let her know that some shoes were left behind.

It was a while before she heard back. And the reply further confirmed her suspicions. The other realtor had forgotten to put on her shoes when she left. Not only that, but she had not even noticed until she received Cara's text. She had already done another showing afterwards as well!!!

How you leave without knowing you are not wearing shoes is beyond me. But driving around then showing another home, and still not realizing? I really don't know what to say here folks.

So let's spin the moral of the story (which is just to give you a good laugh): You have a choice of what realtor to work with, there are some space brains out there, and we hope you choose to work with us to get the job done.
